Part-Time Residential Treatment Worker, all shifts
Residential Treatment Worker:
PRINCIPLE AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
•
Complete shift report with co-workers
•
Read communication log & sign in
•
Complete school attendance sheet daily, check calendar for appointments & transports
•
Supervise residents study time & assist with homework
•
Demonstrate appropriate modeling behavior/communication & maintain a professional relationship with all residents
•
Pass medication as assigned and follow medication log procedures
•
Initiate and provide supervision of resident’s chores, teach cleaning skills & collect cleaning supplies and store appropriately after chores are completed.
•
Maintain effective & ongoing supervision of residents on all floors of the facility and outside on facility grounds. (Residents are never to be left unsupervised)
•
Inform administration immediately of any client abuse or neglect
•
Have resident’s upstairs for bed time by 9:00 P.M. & monitor the floor until lights are out and next shift arrives
•
Develop & provide effective treatment & self-help groups/training's that augment treatment
•
Transport clients as assigned
•
Attend staff meetings, training's & workshops
QUALIFICATIONS:
A High School diploma or equivalent & 1 year experience in working in a child caring institution or an Associates or Bachelors degree in social work or a related field. Must be trained in First Aid & Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
Knowledge and skills in understanding and remediation of problematic behavior.
Knowledge of behavioral intervention techniques with children.
